Pushpesh Pant

Pushpesh Pant, a former JNU faculty on International Relations, prominent food critic and historian, was conferred the coveted Padma Shri for his contributions to literature and education in 2016. He has also been a columnist for several major publications, including Forbes, The Times of India, and The Tribune. Also, an author with over a dozen books to his name, Professor Pant's "India: The Cookbook", was nominated "One of the Best Cookbooks of the Year" by The New York Times in 2011. Over the years, Professor Pant has contributed vital insights about India's culinary heritage on a variety of platforms, including television; his most recent appearance being in Raja, Rasoi Aur Anya Kahaniyaan, a critically acclaimed television series on Indian cuisine.
